Azerbaijan – Passport and Visa required

Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens

TOURIST

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport – must be valid for no less than 3 months after the date of your planned departure from Azerbaijan and must have at least one blank visa page.
  • One Visa Application Form completed and signed. (see notes below):
    • A unique valid email address is needed for each visa application completed.
    • The “Humanity validation” (CAPTCHA) may require multiple attempts. Please be patient and refresh as many times as needed to pass the validation.
    • There is no clear space for a signature. After completing and printing the form, applicants must sign at the bottom of the print out.
    • If you are having difficulty with this form, you may not have the latest version of one of the supported browsers. In that case, return to http://evisa.mfa.gov.az/ and click on one of the supported browsers to load the most current version.
  • Two Passport type photographs with clear or white background
  • A copy of your tourist voucher. This voucher can be obtained from the Travel or Tour Agency in Azerbaijan that made your travel reservation.
  • A hotel reservation confirmation on hotel letterhead is required (APPLICABLE ONLY IF YOU DID NOT USE AN AZERBAIJAN BASED TRAVEL OR TOUR AGENCY WHEN BOOKING THEIR RESERVATIONS)
  • Copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant’s name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.
  • Travel the World Visas Service Order Form

BUSINESS

  • Official Invitation from Azerbaijan: An official invitation provided by the host, obtained from the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan (applicable for multiple entries) OR letter of invitation from the host company along with a copy of the charter and state registration certificate of the host company/organization (single or double entry visa).

PRIVATE

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport – must be valid for no less than 3 months after the date of your planned departure from Azerbaijan and must have at least one blank visa page.
  • One Visa Application Form completed and signed. (see notes below):

  • Host Letter / Copy of ID: A signed letter of invitation from the host in Azerbaijan, along with a photocopy of the hosts Azerbaijan ID. Emailed or faxed copies of the letter is allowed as long as a copy of the Azerbaijan ID is included.
  • Copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant’s name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. OFFICIAL or DIPLOMATIC PASSPORT HOLDERS ONLY

  • Submit Official or Diplomatic Passport – must be valid for no less than 3 months after the date of your planned departure from Azerbaijan and must have at least one blank visa page.
  • One Visa Application Form completed and signed. (see notes below):
    • A unique valid email address is needed for each visa application completed.
    • The “Humanity validation” (CAPTCHA) may require multiple attempts. Please be patient and refresh as many times as needed to pass the validation.

  • Letter from sending Government Department or Agency, addressed to ” Embassy of Azerbaijan, Visa Section, Washington D. C. ” detailing the applicant’s name and occupation, purpose of the trip, dates of the trip and contact person in Azerbaijan
  • Invitation letter from Host Company or Organization in Azerbaijan, authorized by the Azerbaijan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Service Fee:
$100.00/visa (Regular Processing – 10 to 14 business days)

Consular Fee:
$45.00/visa (single entry or double entry – tourist) – applicable for APPLICANTS THAT BOOKED THEIR TRAVEL USING A AZERBAIJAN BASED TRAVEL OR TOUR AGENCY, AND CAN SUPPLY A COPY OF THE BOOKING VOUCHER FROM THE AGENCY – Regular Processing.
