Myanmar (Burma) – Passport and Visa required

Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens

 

Evisa is now available for Burma (Myanmar), below are the requirements that needs to be emailed to: brigitte@world-visa.com

  • Copy of the valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry)
  • 1 passport type photograph with clear or white background
  • travel itinerary
  • hotel booking
  • invitation letter (if business)
  • host registration certificate (if business)
  • proof of US status (if non-US)
  • Myanmar Evisa Application Form
  • Travel the World Visas Service Order Form

Service Fee: $105.00 per person

Consular Fee for the Evisa:
Tourist, single entry, 28 days max stay – $65.00 per person
Business, single entry, 70 days max stay – $85.00 per person

Processing time for Evisa: 3 business days upon submission, valid for 90 days upon issuance (must be used within 90 days upon issuance)

The Tourist eVisa cannot be extended. If your most recent visa is a Business eVisa, you can apply for an extension through the eStay Extension System, https://estay.moip.gov.mm or at the Stay Extension Office located at No. 122, Pansodan Street, Kyautada Township, Yangon, Myanmar.

Below are the requirements for visa submitted to the Embassy (stamped in the actual passport):

TOURIST

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
  • Two Visa Application Forms and Work History Form completed and signed.The application form must have original signature.  You MUST fill out both copies of the Visa Application form (Copy #1 and Copy #2) – photocopy is not accepted.
  • Two passport type photographs
  • Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
  • Travel the World Visas Service Order Form

BUSINESS

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
  • Two Visa Application Forms and Work History Form completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.  You MUST fill out both copies of the Visa Application form (Copy #1 and Copy #2) – photocopy is not accepted.
  • Two passport type photographs
  • Invitation letter from host in Myanmar
  • Computer generated flight itinerary from the travel agent or copy of roundtrip airline ticket
  • Business Letter from U.S. Company
  • Travel the World Visas Service Order Form

OFFICIAL / DIPLOMATIC

  • Submit your U.S. Official or Diplomatic Passport, must have at least 6 months remaining validityOne
  • Two Visa Application Forms and Work History Form completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.  You MUST fill out both copies of the Visa Application form (Copy #1 and Copy #2) – photocopy is not accepted.
  • Two passport type photographs
  • Travel the World Visas Service Order Form
  • Letter from sending department or agency, addressed to: Embassy of Myanmar, Visa Section, Washington D.C. The letter must include all of the the following information:   Applicant’s position and title, Purpose of travel, Dates of the trip, Contact person in Myanmar

MEDITATION VISA

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page) – photocopy is not acceptable
  • Two (2) completed Visa Application Forms and Work History Form completed and signed. The application form must have original signature.  You MUST fill out both copies of the Visa Application form (Copy #1 and Copy #2) – photocopy is not accepted.
  • Two passport type photographs
  • Sponsor letter form the Meditation Center/Monastery /Venerable Sayadaw in Myanmar (Sponsor letter should be original included with registration no. and issue date. Photo copy is not accepted)
  • Letter addressed to the Ambassador (Undertaking letter : Make mention of not to perform other than religious matters )

For residents of other “states” not listed above: $285.00/visa
