Visa Requirements for U.S. Citizens

For tourist or business purposes, Travel the World Visas will be able to assist you with the EVISA application, the EVISA is valid for single entry for 30 days only, the traveler MUST exit Vietnam on or before the visa expiration date.  For longer stay and/or multiple entries, visa MUST be applied through the Embassy of Vietnam and a Visa Approval Letter issued by the Vietnamese Immigration Department is required, the requirements are listed below.

For the EVISA application, please submit the following by email to brigitte@world-visa.com :

1) Evisa completed and signed application form
2) Clear Copy of the passport data page (Full page including photo, personal information and and ICAO lines)
3) Travel the World Visas Service Order Form
4) One (1) Passport Type Photograph – Must be in jpg format: Portrait photo (4x6cm): Looking straight and without glasses.

Minimum file size is 5 KB. Maximum file size is 250 KB
  • The passport (Bio-data page) (All)
  • Recent Passport size Photograph (Not older than 6 months) (All)
 Important Reminder:
 If I use my e-Visa to enter/exit Vietnam, what do I have to do at the checkpoint?
E-Visa holders must present the printed e-Visa and valid passport at the checkpoint.
Do I need to enter Vietnam on the exact date specified in my e-Visa application?
The validity period of your e-Visa begins from the date specified in your approved e-Visa document. You can enter Vietnam on any date within this validity period.
Can I enter Vietnam before or after the validity period specified in my e-Visa? 
No. You cannot enter Vietnam before or after the validity period specified in your e-Visa.
What if I want to enter Vietnam before my e-Visa validity period?
You must complete a new e-Visa application. The previous e-Visa application will be cancelled once the new e-Visa is issued.

 

Due to Covid-19 pandemic, all policies for visa processing have been changed.

If you wish to enter Vietnam for business, investing or traveling purposes at this point, you need to ask your business partners or employers or friends in Vietnam to submit your visa request to the Immigration Department. They have 2 official headquarters located in Hanoi Capital and Ho Chi Minh city as well. When you get the approval letter from the Immigration Department, you may send your paperwork to the Embassy of Vietnam in Washington D.C to get your visa issued.
There are some third parties who can help you to contact the Immigration Department in Vietnam for submitting and getting the approval letter.
You can contact them directly for more information.
The Embassy of Vietnam in Washington D.C will not be responsible for any problems or conflicts between you and these parties.

Vietnam Tourist Visa (longer stay and/or multiple entries)

  • Signed U. S. Passport valid at least six months beyond the date of entry with at least one blank visa page.  Photocopy is not acceptable.
  • One Visa Application Form completed online and signed. The application form must have original signature.
  • One Passport type photograph
  • Round trip flight itinerary or airplane ticket
  • Visa Approval Letter issued by the Vietnamese Immigration Department
  • Travel the World Visas Service Order Form

Vietnam Business Visa (longer stay and/or multiple entries)

  • Valid and signed U. S. Passport (valid at least 6 months beyond the date of entry; with at least one blank visa page)  – photocopy is not acceptable
  • One Visa Application Form completed online and signed. The application form must have original signature.
  • One Passport type photograph
  • Round trip flight itinerary or airplane ticket
  • Visa Approval Letter issued by the Vietnamese Immigration Department
  • Travel the World Visas Service Order Form

$170.00/person/visa – Multiple Entries Valid for 6 months (5 business days processing)

$180.00/person/visa -Multiple Entries Valid for 12 months (5 business days processing)  – applicable for US citizens only
